Firelight

Hey!  I'm Michael — owner, designer, and creator at Firelight Wood Designs located in the Crowders Mountain area of North Carolina.  I'm the husband of an amazing woman, father of three phenomenal kids, network architect, who loves to design and build things out of wood.  While creating isn't my full time occupation, it commands my attention during all of my spare time.  It truly is my passion and I hope to turn that passion into a sustainable career.

The name itself is an amalgamation of my children's names -- Phoenix, Asher, (fire) and Aurora (light).  When deciding on a name, I wanted something that was personal and meaningful.  It also needed to be relevant.  I feel like fire light, is something that most of us can relate to, something that springs a real emotional attachment.  I want my creations to do just that -- tell a story and trigger an emotional connection.
