Entry Bench

The entry bench is a staple piece of furniture in any Craftsman or Farmhouse style home. For us, it was less of a home design feature and more a piece of necessity. With three kids, our entry room (which also happens to be the laundry room) has constantly been a room of disaster. Coats and shoes everywhere. I wish I could place the blame squarely on the kids but alas, I cannot. I’m guilty of kicking off shoes or dropping a case of water in the floor when I walk in the door, moving on to something else, and forgetting to go back and clean it up. With that in mind, I set out to build something to try and help organize the area. There is plenty more to be done in the laundry/entry room, and the entry bench sets the stage for all the other revitalizing projects to come.
